RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Since its inception, the center has been an active witness of change and transformation of urban communities in the country.

Numerous research projects in the areas of community health services, mother and infant survival, labor (especially women and children), land use and urban planning, gender awareness, teaching and learning processes, educational economics, and child rights have been performed as parts of institutional, communal, national or regional agendas of action.

TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY
CSDS conduct training courses and consultancy on research related topics (e.g: Health Training Program for Working children; Participatory Qualitative Evaluation for NGOs; Technical Assistance for Capacity Building for NGOs.)

Training and consultancy are also given in teaching and research skills. Some of the courses conducted were on the following: teaching-learning process, Delphi research, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences), career and counseling skills, communication and negotiation skills, capacity building, course material development, microteaching, etc.

CSDS has a strong team of statisticians who continuously keep abreast of the development of computers, statistics and statistical software, and are ready to give consultation in the most appropriate statistics for any research
